Bass Connections Award for Outstanding Mentorship

Graduate students and postdocs are key to the success of Bass Connections project teams. Their skilled and caring mentorship of team members is one vital element of their contributions.

This year, a new award encourages the Bass Connections community to identify and recognize outstanding graduate students and postdocs.

How It Works

Graduate students and postdocs participating in 2016-2017 Bass Connections project teams are eligible to be nominated for the Bass Connections Award for Outstanding Mentorship.

Please see the award criteria. We invite all 2016-2017 team members and leaders to submit nominations.

The selection committee will be comprised of members of the Bass Connections Faculty and Student Advisory Councils and staff. The award recipient(s) will receive a $1,000 prize and be recognized at the Bass Connections Showcase on April 20.

Nominate a Graduate Student or Postdoc by March 17

To submit a nomination, please complete the nomination form by 5:00 p.m. on March 17. As part of the form, you will be asked to upload a statement of support for the nominee, as well as any other supporting documents. In addition, nominators should include at least one student recommendation for the nominee, as detailed in the student recommendation section that is part of the nomination form.

Each candidate must be recommended by at least one current undergraduate student in addition to their original nominator. If the original nomination is already by an undergraduate, then an additional student recommendation is optional.
