Project Teams

Bass Connections project teams bring together faculty, postdocs, graduate students, undergraduates and external partners to tackle complex societal challenges in interdisciplinary research teams. These teams generally work together over nine to 12 months. Students receive academic credit for participating.

Duke students from all levels and schools are invited to check out the new Bass Connections project teams for 2022-2023. The deadline for applications is February 11 at 5:00 p.m. EST.

Students can learn more about project team participation by attending a general information session (via Zoom) on Friday, January 21 or Tuesday, January 25. Many project teams will also be hosting their own Zoom information session during the weeks of January 24 and January 31. Please see our 2022 Virtual Fair to browse the dates and times for team-specific information sessions.

Please see How Project Teams Work to learn more, or browse the list of teams below. Current team leaders and members may be interested in our Team Resources.

The list of project teams can be filtered by academic year, theme, area of focus, opportunities or a combination of all four. Multiple items can be selected/deselected by holding the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) key when clicking.
