I have loved working with the team on this project, and am especially appreciative of gaining a mentor. It has been the most formative part of my Duke experience.

Resident Engagement and Energy Behavior Assessment through Mobile Phone Technology (2015-2016)

I like interdisciplinary work. I have loved working with the team on this project, and am especially appreciative of gaining a mentor like Brian Southwell. It has been the most formative part of my Duke experience. 

I gained a sense of responsibility by being a member of the team. If something falls through, I have to step up! I learned how to preempt problems and improvise. And through the literature review I learned a lot about energy use habits and about social science.
