Computer Science and Statistical Science ’18
I am interested in infectious disease and thought it would a project that would be a good fit for someone with my background because it requires the study of statistics and data analysis.
It has been so interesting to interact directly with Peru’s Ministry of Health and local health officials, and see how they view these diseases and what they can and can’t do to help. It has been great being part of the research team. I feel like we are accomplishing a lot with our projects. We’re trying to make an impact on the community with our work as well as with some of our community education activities (called charlas).
