Toward Better ESL (English as a Second Language) Instruction (2014-2015)
This project team developed a teacher professional development program for Kindergarten through second grade teachers and English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers to better meet the needs of the growing population of Latino English learner students. In this program, the ESL teachers and classroom teachers work collaboratively to develop skills in language and literacy instruction for Latino English learner students. Teachers also enhance their collaboration skills with their colleagues and their capacity to work with the families of their Latino English learner students.
