Signature Courses Call for Proposals
Trinity College of Arts & Sciences invites proposals for Signature Courses, designed to unite a diverse range of undergraduates in the exploration of compelling challenges or “big questions” of our time. These courses will highlight interdisciplinary collaborations between students and faculty in the humanities, social and natural sciences, arts and engineering.
Signature Courses are taught to groups of anywhere from 50 to 120 undergraduate students and will explore overarching themes, important questions and relevant challenges of current times. According to the Trinity College website, “Signature Courses introduce students to ways of thinking broadly and integratively, emphasizing the multiple methods and approaches used by scholars to engage with the questions they seek to answer. They expose students to a range of perspectives from one or more disciplines, and instill habits of mind for lifelong learning.”
Signature Courses are open to all departments. Trinity College will provide funding for up to four courses over the next five years. Proposals are due by December 1.
