Open Wounds

“We don’t like to open wounds we can’t close,” a volunteer at a Syrian refugee camp told Maura Smyles, a student on the Bass Connections project team Displacement, Resettlement and Global Mental Health. The team worked with many humanitarian aid organizations in Jordan, and Smyles was surprised to find only one of them that focused on psychological support.
