Franklin Humanities Institute Supports Six Bass Connections Projects for 2017-2018

The John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute has selected six Bass Connections project teams to support for the 2017-2018 academic year:
- Addressing Global Health Needs among Refugee Children and Families in Durham County
- Digital Cities and Cyberarchaeology
- Digital Durham: Past, Present, Future
- Global Mental Health Program
- How to Build Ethics into Robust Artificial Intelligence
- Visualizing Energy through Live Performance
Duke students from all levels and schools are invited to apply for any of the Bass Connections project teams between January 24 and February 17 at 5:00 p.m.
Bass Connections bridges the classroom and the real world, giving students a chance to roll up their sleeves and tackle complex societal challenges alongside faculty from across Duke. Working in interdisciplinary research teams, students at all levels collaborate with faculty, postdocs and outside experts on cutting-edge research that spans subjects and borders.
