4/8 & 4/15: "Solarize Duke" Information Sessions
There will be two information sessions on April 8 and April 16 on a new intiative, "Solarizing Duke", which will provide discounted solar installation for faculty and staff who own their homes. This pilot program arose from a partnership between Duke's Carbon Offset Initiative and Bass Connections in Energy with NextClimate, a nonprofit focused on environmental sustainability.
All Duke employees are eligible for this pilot program, and those interested must own a home in the Triangle area and receive a free solar assessment. The informational sessions will be in the Von Canon Room on the lower level of the Bryan Center from noon to 1 p.m. on April 8, and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on April 15. Local installers will be available to discuss solar panel discounts and the installation process.
