BME 590-01: Transcontinental Biomedical Engineering Design
Instructor: William Reichert
The Duke-MUK partnership is a commitment between Duke University and Makerere University in Uganda to collaborate on the education of engineers and the development of biomedical devices to address current healthcare needs in Uganda. The goal of this course is to integrate the design and anthropological elements of the Duke-MUK experience into a single course offered to both BME and global health undergraduate and graduate students. This course operates as a design class superimposed with the relevant anthropology of working directly with students in Uganda.
