The project gave me an opportunity to step out of my usual activities (doing research on environmental law) and do things I had little experience with, like drafting a script for a documentary or thinking about how certain images might help communicate the environmental impact of armed conflict in different regions of the world.

Director of Ocean Program, Environmental Law Institute

This was a fun and challenging project. Professor Erika Weinthal did a terrific job managing the project. We had the chance to meet with highly specialized practitioners that have been doing fascinating work on environmental peace-building.

The project team was multidisciplinary, with students from different academic programs and background experience, which I think contributed to prepare me for the kind of working environment I have found in my professional life, working in the non-profit sector.

The project also gave me an opportunity to step out of my usual activities (doing research on environmental law) and do things I had little experience with, like drafting a script for a documentary or thinking about how certain images might help communicate the environmental impact of armed conflict in different regions of the world.
