PUBPOL 830-05: The Role of the Federal Reserve in Community Development

Spring 2020

Instructor: Michael Stegman

By drawing upon the resources in several Reserve Banks across the country, this seminar will explore how the nation’s central bank works to solve critical community development challenges facing the country, including expanding the supply of affordable housing, increasing small business lending and reducing inequality, while introducing master’s students to potential career opportunities with the Fed following graduation. A different community development expert from one of the Fed’s Reserve Banks will lead each of the seven session in this seminar.
