Speaker(s):
William E. Kraus, MD

The Exercise Is Medicine Across the Lifespan symposium is a part of the Bass Connections project team, Global Alliance on Disability and Health Innovation

The event is open to Duke faculty, staff, students and Durham community partners interested in building collaborations aimed to increase physical activity—leveraging digital health, behavioral economics, community partnership and more.

This event is free and will feature initiatives, technology and studies in progress that are planning to scale and spread. Dr. William E. Kraus, President-Elect of the American College of Sports Medicine, will serve as the event's keynote speaker. The symposium will celebrate 5 years of Walk with a Doc and Duke’s new recognition as an Exercise is Medicine Campus, and share news from Healthy Duke and the Partnership for a Healthy Durham. The program is funded jointly by Duke University School of Medicine Interdisciplinary Colloquia and Duke Bass Connections Global Health for initiatives that address health locally.
