Bass Connections for Humanists: A Lunchtime Conversation
Please join us for a panel discussion highlighting opportunities for humanities, arts, and interpretive social sciences faculty to engage with Bass Connections.
Please RSVP by Friday, October 3.
During this lunch panel, experienced Bass Connections team leaders will share how and why they got involved in the program and reflect on the opportunities and challenges that interdisciplinary projects offer for advancing research and teaching goals in the arts, humanities, and interpretive social sciences.
The discussion will be moderated by Phil Stern (History; leader of the Bass Connections Information, Society, and Culture theme) and will include a Q&A session for attendees. Panelists include:
- Astrid Giugni (English): Ethical Consumption Before Capitalism
- Andrew Janiak (Philosophy): Project Vox
- Wesley Hogan (John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute): Reproductive Health Care Post-Roe
- Rebecca Stein (Cultural Anthropology): Digital/Visual Archives of War and Conflict
Whether you are curious about the program, considering how your scholarship might intersect with interdisciplinary collaboration, or simply wish to learn from colleagues’ experiences, this event will offer valuable insights.
Also, as a reminder, Bass Connections is now accepting proposals for 2026-2027 project teams. Please review the proposal guidelines and submit a proposal by November 3.
