Seeking Students to Work in Our Office

We’re hiring one or more undergraduate students to join our team. Depending on the candidate’s level of skills and abilities, sample tasks include:

  • Creating website content and making updates
  • Conducting online research
  • Tracking media mentions
  • Entering and modifying records in a database
  • Formatting documents and drafting letters
  • Compiling newsletters
  • Formatting and analyzing data in Excel
  • Creating graphics
  • Improving and resizing images
  • Scheduling tweets and Facebook posts
  • Assisting with events
  • Summarizing website analytics
  • Creating digital flyers
  • Interviewing students and writing profiles (or editing video interviews)
  • Other projects and duties as requested

Careful attention to detail is a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator preferred.

Preference will be given to students who are eligible for work-study and have participated in Bass Connections (previously or currently). We offer competitive hourly rates commensurate with level of expertise.

Our staff offices are in the Allen building on West Campus and will be moving to the Erwin Mill building near 9th Street in mid-Fall.

We can work out a weekly schedule around your classes of up to 10 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm).
