Jun Wang Receives Forever Duke Student Leadership Award

Jun Wang is among four graduating Ph.D. students who won the Duke Alumni Association’s Forever Duke Student Leadership Award. Wang, who will receive her degree in Pharmacology, was a member of the Bass Connections project team Evaluation of Scaling Innovative Healthcare Delivery in East Africa.

She is a member of the Graduate School Board of Visitors, the former president of the Duke Chinese Students and Scholars Association and the former director of young leadership for the North Carolina Chinese Business Association.

The Forever Duke Student Leadership Award recognizes students who embody the “Forever Duke” spirit in their service to the university. The other three Graduate School recipients are Heather Heenehan, Marine Science and Conservation; Vijeth Iyengar, Psychology; and Chris Paul, Environmental Policy.

The winners will be recognized during a ceremony at the Washington Duke Inn on May 4.
